Edges and Finishes

Edges

The standard edge is 3/4” thick and has a finished flat eased edge. A dripless edge on vanity tops is only available in limited sizes. We also have premium edge treatments. In 3/4” thick material, we can offer a single ogee edge. Half round, eased bullnose, double ogee and beveled edges are 1 1/2” thick.

Finishes

Our standard finish has a high gloss shine that is made from the finest clear gelcoat available in the industry today. It far exceeds the minimum requirements for the thickness and is tested regularly by the National Association of Home Builders Research Center for stain resistance, hardness, and thermal shock.

The slate effect finish has a textured feel and look. The slate finish is especially useful in bar top applications, as well as hearths for fireplaces. Vanity tops can be made with a slate effect, but the bowl will have a smooth finish and backsplashes will be detached. Slate effect vanity tops do involve an omit integral backsplash charge and a lineal foot charge for separate back and side splashes.

Our matte finish is available in Solid White, Solid Bone, Solid Almond and Solid Biscuit; it is still a gelcoated finish but the high gloss is modified to accomplish the matte finish. An upcharge is required.
